Apprenticeship

From September 1, 2022 to October 31, 2024, I was employed at datagraphis GmbH as an apprentice in the software development department. During this period, I was involved in the development of several projects, including:

Active further development of the dataroom Workflow-Manager in a Scrum team, where I primarily contributed to the major rewrite: we migrated the original application from AngularJS with CoffeeScript to the latest version of Angular with TypeScript from the ground up. Additionally, I was involved in maintaining the legacy application at the same time.
Digital report book: a cross-platform app written in Flutter with a realtime Node.js backend that all apprentices in datagraphis GmbH could use to fill their reports and submit them to instructors for verification and a digital sign on approval. This app was also capable of generating IHK-conform report books in PDF format that are ready to submit. I initiated this project independently on my own with the permission of my instructor.
Creation of the monthly customer magazine, where I contributed both to the import of processed XML data into our TYPO3 content management system and to maintaining and managing the content within the TYPO3 before publication.

Due to the combination of being underchallenged and having limited growth opportunities, I made the emotional and difficult decision to quit the apprenticeship after two years. We parted on good terms, and I am grateful for the experience of working in a professional environment with supportive colleagues and developing teamwork as well as collaboration skills. Since then, I have primarily focused on personal projects, including this portfolio, and seeking professional employment.
